Eyes are very important part of our body and are important in keeping us aware of our surroundings. There are a lot of people who question the importance of eye exercises. You might be confused to choose between your leisure and eye exercises but I would prefer to go with the latter option as it really works and can provide you with potential benefits.

Eyeball has 6 muscles attached with it externally. These muscles are useful in moving eyeballs in various directions. We can see in almost all the possible directions without moving our heads. These muscles can be strengthened by regular exercise, which is true for all the muscles of the body. When a person does regular eye exercises, his eye muscles strengthen and in this way his eyes don’t get fatigued easily. In the same way eye exercises can increase the strength of muscles responsible for increasing and decreasing strength of the lens.

Eye specialists have tried and designed many exercises to improve the condition of eyes and treat several abnormalities but there are certain limitations. Nerve damage is permanent and these exercises cannot treat it. Cataracts are also known as clouding of eyes and in this condition abnormality is in the lens and exercises cannot correct it. Problems related to eye musculature can be easily treated with the help of eye exercises.

Television is main source of entertainment in most parts of the world. It should be used properly because excessive use can affect eyesight severely. Some simple precautionary measures can prevent this to occur.

It is good to watch television on large screen as compared to small screen because it provides clearer vision from a large distance and the visual angle provided is large.

It is better to watch television placed at the level of eyes because if television is placed at a higher level, it creates a large angle resulting in distortion of the image which makes it difficult for our eyes to co-ordinate both the images.

There is no specific limit of time to watch television. Every person has a different eye strength level and he can do visual work according to it. The thing that should be taken under consideration is that television should not be watched beyond the level of fatigue because it is damaging for eyes. Overuse of eyes can result in many abnormal conditions, producing disturbance in eyesight.
